Night Stalker Susan-The Next Act

Published by sunnflr at 2:39 pm under flash fiction Edit This

Susan and Andrew returned home to chaos. Andrew’s flat was close enough to the campus that news of the killings was all everyone was talking about. The local newspapers were also covering the story.

“This isn’t good at all,” Andrew informed Susan after reading the paper. “We should probably leave,” he continued with a sigh, as he looked around his beautiful flat.

“Guess you wish your life was still boring now, huh?” Susan asked. “I’ve brought you nothing but trouble.”

Andrew smiled, and replied, “That’s certainly true. You are a handful.” At Susan’s thunderous look, he continued, “But I haven’t had this much fun in years.”

“Even though you have to give up your precious flat?”

“I can buy another one,” he replied, shrugging. “I was quite wealthy in my other life.”

“Is there anywhere in particular you’d like to go?” he asked.

“Home,” Susan stated adamantly. “I have some unfinished business there.”

“Why do I think I’m not going to like this,” Andrew mused.
