Night Stalker-The Children
This is my first contribution to the Saturday Scribe writing prompt. I hope I did everything correctly. This is the continuation of the Night Stalker story. You can read the first part here, and the second part here. I hope you enjoy it!
The children were innocent in the war between those of the night and all the rest. They weren’t jaded or evil, only in the right place at the wrong time on occasion.
Nathaniel went out of his way to avoid taking children. He overheard some of his fellow night stalkers talking, saying the children were best. That their blood was sweeter, pure and delightful. He knew they were misinformed. The blood of children was pure, but there was nothing delightful in taking it. The children were relentless. They never gave him a nights rest. His nightmares were full of screaming children. He tried to tell the others but they wouldn’t listen.
He remembered the first time he took a child. She was a sweet little angel about five years old. He had just finished with her mother when she walked in the door. Left with no choice, he’d taken her. Never imagining how she would haunt him, the pain she could inflict. She wouldn’t allow him to forget her like the rest. None of the children would.

I’m really enjoying these. I hope you’ll be doing more installments.
Thank you both. I plan to do more prompts now that I’ve found Saturday Scribes. I have two writing sites, so I need lots of prompts…lol.
I’m glad everyon likes my little story so far.
You know, I didn’t even think about that show. We watched it a few times but never much. This is the first time I’ve ever tried to write anything about vampires. I’m not sure where it will go.
I’ve never even heard of the show…lol.
