Family
Family is very important. I don’t get to visit my Mom and brother as much as I’d like because they live in another state. I miss seeing them more often.
We’ve only lived away for two years. During that time I lost my Father to brain cancer. We did make sure to visit almost every weekend during his sickness, and I stayed over there for the last month of his life helping take care of him.
It’s awful that gas prices and just living expenses make it to where families can’t get together more often. At least that’s the case with us. We just can’t afford to go more often. I am thankful we get to go at least once a month.
It is a two hour drive from our house to my Mom’s. That isn’t much, but there and back does take a full tank of gas. Right now that’s quite expensive.
Do any of you have this problem? Do you wish you could visit with family more often? I am grateful my family is as close as they are. I couldn’t imagine only seeing them once a year or something like that. I hope all of you get to be with loved ones when you want.
